2. Travel purpose: The e-visa for Indonesia that is available on this website is a tourist visa. That means that you may use to visa to engage in activities, such as sightseeing, going to the beach, following recreational courses, visiting conventions, and visiting family. You may also use the visa to transit through Indonesia. However, you are not allowed to work for an Indonesian employer (not even as a volunteer), to sell goods or services or to be a speaker at an event.

3. Finances: To be allowed to travel to Indonesia on a visa, you must own enough money to finance your trip. You will not always be asked for this, but you must be able to show proof of your financial situation if you are.

4. Travel plans: The e-visa allows you to enter Indonesia through many different airports, seaports and border control posts. You can submit your visa application as long before your departure as you want. If you travel to Indonesia in more than 60 days, your application is put on hold first. This prevents your visa from expiring before you arrive in Indonesia. 60 days before your expected arrival, you are automatically informed by e-mail about how to complete your application.

You can submit your visa application as far in advance as you want. However, you must know when you will travel to Indonesia and where you will spend at least one night. You also have to submit a ticket for your return or onward trip. This may be a flight, bus or cruise ticket. You may deviate from your arrival and departure dates, your accommodation or your return trip later, but keep the visa validity term in mind.

You are advised to apply for the visa as soon as you book accommodation in Indonesia and your return trip. You are advised to submit the application far in advance to prevent any possible issues.

To apply for a visa for Indonesia, you must fill in a digital form and upload documents. It is recommended to prepare the following documents and details before starting with the application:

1. The travel plans: You must fill in some details about your upcoming trip to Indonesia in the application form. You are asked about your expected date of arrival, your travel purpose and the location where you spend your first night. You also have to book your return trip before submitting the visa application.

2. The passport details: You must enter the passport details of each traveller you want to include in your visa application. You need the original passport or a photo/scan of the passport data page to do this.

3. A digital photograph: You must submit a digital passport photograph of each traveller in your application. This has to be a sharp colour photo of the face of the traveller in question. The facial expression must be neutral, and the background should have a neutral, uniform colour, such as a light wall. It is not necessary to submit an official passport photo, but a selfie usually suffices if it meets all the previously mentioned requirements.

4. A photo or scan of the passport: Besides the photograph, you must also upload a photo or scan of the data page of each traveller’s passport. This is the plastic page, including your photograph, passport number, date of birth etc. The page should be fully visible, and all details should be legible. Is your signature on another page? 5. A ticket for your return or onward trip from Indonesia: Finally, you must submit a ticket for a booked return trip from Indonesia. You may submit a flight, bus, or cruise ticket. Make sure that it clearly shows when you will leave Indonesia.

Yes, you can apply for a visa for yourself or for another person. You can submit an application for multiple people, by clicking on the button ‘Add traveller’ in the online application form.

A group application allows you to apply for visas for multiple people. You have to fill in the contact and travel details only once per application, meaning that it is quicker to submit a group application compared to submitting individual applications for all fellow travellers. That also allows you to pay the costs for all travellers simultaneously, and to view the status of all applications on one page.

If you apply for a visa for another person, you must have their permission to do so. You also have to read the details you filled in to the person in question, allowing them to verify that all questions are answered truthfully. If you apply for a visa for a minor, you must have the permission of their parents or legal guardians.

A British passport number is solely made up of digits. This means that the letter O can never appear in a British passport number. It will always be the number 0. For Irish passports, the number always starts with the letter P or L, followed by another letter. These 2 letters are followed by 7 digits. This should clarify whether it is an O or a 0.

If you submit your visa application on e-Visa.ie, we will always check whether you accidentally switched up the letter O and the number 0. If this error is discovered, it will be corrected for you immediately. This will allow you to travel without any issues.

Did you submit your visa application on another website? In most cases, this error will not be corrected, causing your visa to be invalid. It is not possible to change the passport number afterwards; you will need to apply for an entirely new visa.

Applying for an Indonesia visa costs € 64,95. This is the final price per person, including VAT. If you submit an urgent application, you are charged € 17,50 per person on top of the normal visa price. Additionally, all applicants have the choice to offset the CO₂-emissions of their two-way flight to Indonesia. Finally, German and Dutch citizens may also register their trip at the embassy in Indonesia. These are optional services that may be booked for an additional surcharge, which is displayed in the application form.

The final visa price of € 64,95 includes consular fees of 519.500 IDR and service costs of € 34,05. The consular costs are charged by the Indonesian immigration service, while the service costs are charged by e-Visa.ie.

You can pay the visa costs safely with Mastercard, Visa, American Express, PayPal, Trustly, Google Pay or Apple Pay. You receive a confirmation per e-mail right after you make the payment, and you can also download a receipt.

e-Visa.ie sends you a confirmation e-mail once you have made the payment for your application. In some cases, it may take up to 24 hours until you receive this e-mail. If you have not received an e-mail 24 hours later, you should first check your spam folder. If you are unable to find an e-mail by e-Visa.ie there either, you can find the status page of your application via the contact page, by using your order number. The order number appears on the bank statement of your payment, among other places. The order number begins with the letter ‘D’.

You can change all the information you submitted until e-Visa.ie has accepted the uploaded documents. To change any details, you can reply to one of the e-mails you received from e-Visa.ie. During office hours, you will receive a response within a few hours.

After submitting your documents, a visa expert from e-Visa.ie will check your application. If everything is in order, your application is forwarded to Indonesia’s immigration service almost immediately. From that moment onwards, you can no longer change any of the details you submitted. You can cancel your order until the immigration service starts to process your application. This happens almost immediately after you have submitted the required documents, and they have been accepted by a visa specialist from e-Visa.ie. After the immigration service has started to process your application, you can no longer cancel it. This is a rule by the immigration service. e-Visa.ie has no influence on this.

Most travellers want to receive their visas as quickly as possible. Therefore, there is no cooling-off or withdrawal period. This is part of the general terms and conditions. You accepted these terms by ticking a box before making the payment.

If you have not submitted the documents yet, you can cancel your application by contacting the Visa Support Centre. You can do this by responding to an e-mail you received from e-Visa.ie.

Normal applications have an average processing time of 7 days, and urgent applications are processed in 24 hours on average. Visa applications are usually processed within this time frame, but there may be delays in exceptional cases. A longer processing time does not mean that it has a higher likelihood of being rejected. Most applications are approved, even if they take longer than average to process.

If your visa application is under review at the immigration service, or if you have received your visa already, you can no longer change the submitted documents and details. This is usually not necessary, either. Do you need to change your accommodation address or your travel date to Indonesia? A mistake in these two details is not a problem. You may use your visa for your upcoming trip without having to change anything, but you should keep the visa validity term in mind. A mistake in the contact details is not a problem, either.

Mistakes in the passport details usually do cause problems. These are the details that are listed in your passport, including your name, nationality, passport number, date of birth, place of birth and the date of issue and expiry of your passport. e-Visa.ie will check many of these details, but you are responsible for filling in the application form correctly yourself. e-Visa.ie cannot correct all mistakes.

Did you make a mistake in the passport details? After your documents are accepted by e-Visa.ie, you can no longer make any changes. A visa that is issued with erroneous passport details is invalid. The only way to correct a mistake is by applying for a new visa. You do not have to cancel the old application.

You are not asked any questions about a possible criminal record while applying for an Indonesia e-visa. This means that you can most likely travel to Indonesia, regardless of whether you have a criminal record or not. However, Indonesia’s immigration service may conduct in-depth background checks. This is more common for applications for long-term visas. If the immigration service believes you to be a potential security risk, your visa application may be refused, or you may be refused upon arrival.

Traffic violations and smaller offences usually never have any influence on travelling to Indonesia. Serious offences and crimes can cause problems in certain situations. If you are unsure whether your criminal record is a problem for your trip, you are advised to contact the Indonesian embassy.

First, you should make sure that all children have their own passports and visas. Minors also have to meet the requirements regarding the passport and the visa to be allowed to enter Indonesia.

There are no mandatory vaccinations for Indonesia, except if you travel from a country with a risk of yellow fever. In that case, you must be vaccinated against yellow fever. There is a general recommendation to get vaccinated against measles-mumps-rubella and diphtheria-tetanus-polio.
