What does an urgent Indian visa cost?

For urgent Indian visa applications, an additional fee of € 17,50 is charged. This fee is added to the regular visa cost of € 59,95 per person. The cost can be paid quickly and securely online using a credit card, PayPal, Google Pay or Apple Pay.

What is the difference between a normal and an urgent application?

The difference in the delivery times of standard and urgent applications lies in the way e-Visa.ie processes applications. All Indian visa applications (urgent or not) are checked manually by a visa specialist for frequently made mistakes. The visa specialist checks the provided digital passport photo and passport copy to make sure that they meet all requirements. The passport details are also checked to ensure that they were copied correctly into the form. The visa specialist will correct any errors or mistakes immediately. In case of doubt, you will be contacted by e-mail as well as by phone or text message to double-check the details in your application.

Standard applications are checked within a few days. Urgent applications are checked as soon as the passport photo and passport copy have been uploaded, even outside of office hours, on weekends, or on holidays.

As soon as the visa specialist has assessed that the application form was filled in correctly and that all the documentation provided is in order, the application is forwarded to the Indian immigration service. From this moment on, no influence can be exercised to expedite the processing time.

Is the delivery time guaranteed?

Urgent visa applications are on average processed within 24 hours from the moment that the application is completed. An application is considered complete once the form has been filled out, payment has been made and the passport photo and copy of the passport have been provided. This is an average delivery time, which means that the processing of the visa may also take longer. Therefore, no guaranteed maximum delivery times are expressly mentioned. In rare cases, even an urgent Indian visa application can be considerably delayed. This can happen, for instance, if the application form contains an overnight address that is known to the immigration authorities to be problematic. An address may be considered problematic if travellers who have not complied with certain (visa-related) rules have stayed there in the past.
