Good prospects

The Airports Authority of India (AAI), responsible for the administration of Indian airports, announced on social media that as of 30 May 2025, travellers with an e-visa are allowed to enter India via Surat Airport. According to the AAI, this will benefit travellers, airlines and immigration services alike. The introduction of the e-visa procedure at the airport will reduce bureaucracy, speed up the processing of applications and make the airport more accessible to travellers from all over the world. According to the AAI, this will also enhance security.

A new gateway to the Indian state of Gujarat
