General questions

  • • Do I need a visa for my holiday in Cambodia?

Applying for the Cambodia visa is mandatory for travelers of all nationalities, except: Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and Myanmar. If you are a citizens of the UK or another European country, you need to apply for a Cambodia visa in order to make your trip.

  • • What type of visa do I need for my holiday in Cambodia?

If you are planning to stay in Cambodia for less than 30 days, you can make use of the electronic visa. This visa can be applied for on this website. Your application is processed entirely online and the visa is sent by e-mail. If you are planning to stay in Cambodia for longer than 30 days or don’t meet the requirements for the electronic visa, you need to submit an application at the embassy in London.

  • • I received my visa, do I need to do something?

Yes. You need to print the visa twice and keep it with your hand luggage. You need to hand over a print when entering and again when exiting Cambodia. Furthermore, it is wise to double-check whether the information on your visa matches the information on your passport.

  • • I applied for a visa but didn’t receive an e-mail, what now?

Immediately after the reception of your payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from e-Visa.ie. The confirmation e-mail contains a link to your personal status page on e-Visa.ie, where you can check the status of your application.

Was your visa not granted by the expected deadline? The status page indicates when it is wise to contact us about this and how to do it.

The immigration service processes visa applications individually, not by group. Applications are processed separately even if you have applied for a visa for multiple travelers with the same form. Sometimes there is a considerable delay between the moment of granting of the various visas in a group application. This may be due, for example, to one or a few people’s applications being subjected to a manual sample check. If an application for one traveler takes longer than those of other travelers in the same group application, it does not necessarily mean that the visa application for this traveler is more likely to be rejected.

Have you not received any emails yet? Check your junk mail (spam) folder. If you still cannot find any e-mail with the subject ’Visa application Cambodia received’, look up the status of your application via our contact page, where you will also find information on how to contact e-Visa.ie.
