You must meet the Cambodia visa requirements to enter the country for your holiday. Check if you meet all of the requirements before applying for your Cambodia visa.

Requirements for your passport

The Cambodia visa can only be applied for through this website for travellers that hold a passport stating they have the British nationality (British citizen), or the nationality of one of these countries.

Furthermore, the passport must meet the requirements set for usage of the Cambodia visa. These requirements state that your passport must be valid for at least six more months from the moment of arrival in Cambodia. You need to travel with the same passport that you used when applying for the visa. A check will be made on arrival which will, among other things, focus on your passport number; it needs to match the number that you filled in while applying for the Cambodia visa.

What if your passport expires earlier?
Does your passport expire within six months after your date of arrival? Then you do not meet the Cambodia visa requirements. In this case, you will first need to apply for a new passport. An emergency passport does not meet the requirements, but if you are in a rush, you can make use of the urgency procedure which most passport offices offer. You can only submit your visa application once you have received your new passport. That is because you need to fill in the passport number on it in the application form for the Cambodia visa.

Requirements for travelling with children

Children travelling along each need to possess their own passport and visa. It is recommended submitting a group application. You can use the same online application form (explanation) for this as for a single traveller, and press the button "add traveller" at the bottom of the form. This has the benefit that you do not need to fill in a lot of the information multiple times.

Are you travelling with underage children and both parents aren’t coming along? Then you also need to have a signed statement in English in which both parents or parental representatives grant permission to make the trip.

Requirements for your itinerary

The itinerary of your holiday to Cambodia also needs to meet a number of requirements.

  • The total stay cannot last longer than 30 days
  • You need to make your entire trip within the validity term of the Cambodia visa
  • You need to arrive at one of the assigned entry locations (see below)
  • You don’t need to have booked a flight ticket yet to apply for the visa
  • You must indicate the address of your first accommodation in Cambodia while completing the application form. You may deviate from this later on

Permitted entry locations

You can only meet the Cambodia visa requirements if you arrive at one of the locations below and pass the border check:

Name arrival location Type
Phnom Penh International airport
Siem Reap International airport
Sihanoukville (Preah Sihanouk) International airport
Cham Yeam (Koh Kong) Border location at Thailand
Poipet (Banteay Meanchey) Border location at Thailand
Bavet (Svay Rieng) Border location at Vietnam
Tropaeng Kreal (Stung Treng) Border location at Laos

Permitted exit locations
The requirements for the locations where you can leave Cambodia are less strict than those for entering. You can leave the country at any point where a border post is stationed, which is the case at virtually all airports and border crossings.

Take visa on your trip

Take the visa with you on your trip
Do you meet the requirements above? Then you can make use of the Cambodia. After approval, you receive it in PDF format by e-mail. Take note: each traveller needs to bring two printed copies with them on their trip. The first will be taken on arrival, the second when leaving the country. Naturally, you also need to bring your passport with you on your trip to meet all the requirements for the Cambodia visa.

e-Visa.ie is a commercial and professional visa agency, and supports travellers in obtaining, among others, the Cambodia visa. e-Visa.ie acts as an intermediary and is in no way part of any government. You can also apply for a visa directly with the immigration service (36 USD per visa, via www.evisa.gov.kh). However, not with our level of support. If you submit your application via e-Visa.ie, our support centre is available to you 24/7. In addition, we manually check your application and all the documents you provide before submitting it to the immigration authorities on your behalf. If we suspect any errors or omissions while doing so, we will personally contact you to ensure that your application can still be processed quickly and correctly. To use our services, you pay us 36 USD in consular fees, which we pay to the immigration service on your behalf, as well as € 31,11 in service fees as compensation for our services, including VAT. Our services have saved many travellers from major problems during their trip. Should an application be rejected despite our support and verification, we will refund the full purchase price (unless an application for a previous Cambodia visa was rejected for the same traveller).
